PDX: Beaker & Flask, Le Pigeon, Crema Bakery

Another late one meant a bike ride to get the blood flowing again. The destination on the east side of the Willamette is Crema Bakery.

Another recommendation from Lorenzo Perkins, this place rocked. The bikes are nice and fun to ride: two Bianchi Milano Cittàs (8-speed).

Beaker and Flask at dusk was great. I could only order one cocktail, "The General Population." I wanted to order more, but my liver was like, "are you crazy?" Their antipasti plate was ridiculous by the way. I wish I had shot a picture.

I recovered by the time we made it to Le Pigeon. Good thing, since their über-rich & elegant cuisine called for a couple of bottles from their soignée wine list: a 2005 Savennières and a 2004 Saint-Emilion.

The set up at Le Pigeon sort of reminded us of Dell'anima in the West Village.

Today Jesse Bates takes us to the Gorge.
