She loves her new job as a private chef.  This week, she already has two full-scale luncheons under her belt, and her new clients are well-pleased. Nice.  The job combines all of her favorite things: daily shopping for fresh produce, cooking healthy and researching. She is planning this week's menu, while I study.

Today has been about comparing info on flashcards to the Guild of Sommeliers website’s wikis.  What did I do before this site? If you haven’t joined the Guild and you’re prepping for a CMS exam, you will make it tremendously easier on yourself, if you join now. You can toss out your Sotheby’s while you’re at it, too. The wikis are yet another amazing feature of the site.  The trick is to not feel any anxiety when you see information on Portugal’s changed, South Africa’s changed, Italy’s changed.

Sure, I’d like to be not make flashcards this close to the Master Sommelier Diploma Examination in Las Vegas [July 25-28], but I’d also like to answer correctly, if asked, that Swellendam WO [District in South Africa] is now considered part of the new Cape South Coast Region and not part of the Breede River Valley Region. Things change. The theory exam will always be a moving target. I’d just like to hit the mark this time around.
